DriveCast #3 - Part A

DriveCast #003 Part A - 21/07/05

After a weekend of fun, you join me on the long drive home. As it was so long, I've split the show into two, so you can still enjoy it at a reasonable pace! Oh, and excuse the sound levels, I need to sort them out properly before the next show ;)

As mentioned in the show, here is a link of the journey I did (roughly speaking), courtesy of Multimap.Com :)

- Basic Rundown of the weekend
- Spencer Tunick
~ Newcastle/Gateshead Installations, 17th July, 2005 - I was there!
~ BBC3 Documentary "Naked City"
~ Baltic
- Rammstein (or in English ;)
~ Download Festival
- Podsafe music: Ellen Brogan "In the Light of the Moon" July, 2005
- More about Spencer Tunick & what happened
(The squeeking in the background is the wipers - there was a short shower!)
- Podsafe music: David Henderson "The Real Deal" (from PodsafeAudio.com)
- Multimap.Com, routes/roadworks, A Map of Birmingham, traffic jams & rubbernecking

DriveCast #2

DriveCast #002 - 10/07/05 Blog updated 11/07/05

In this show, we meet Mr John Brogan, go off on one about Nature/Life, listen to podsafe music and rant a lil' bit more about society, water and Mother Nature. It becomes apparent MrPete's a bit of a hippie at heart! :D

Also - a BRAND new theme tune, composed & played by MrPete!
*AND* an intro sent in by Stav, a friend of MrPete's.

A little something, taken on a walk into the Fens at about 22:00 after the show.

- Sean Kennedy: Patrolling

- Off Peak Fare - Little bit Sooner
- Band page on PodSafeAudio.com

As it's the first time music has been played on my show, I would just like to ask if you could let me know whether you deem the quality to be good enough or not. I let it record the track live (ie. whilst driving), but I'm not sure whether to just edit it in in the future. What do you think?

Drop me a line at DriveCast@Gmail.com :)

Till next time,
MrPete :)

Just a lil update

Hey everyone.

There's no show tonight, but following recent events I felt it was my duty to say a few words.

I just want to show my disgust at the very thought that some people around the world believe they can destroy the lives, the spirit AND the community of London and of any other town, village, city or country on this planet. They are cowards, unable to deal with things in a grown-up fashion, to TALK with others to resolve problems. Violence & terrorism is NOT conducive to get your points across - it is mindless and pointless.

My sincere heart-felt thoughts are with those who were involved, those who lost friends, relatives, work colleagues or who witnessed a complete stranger departing from this existence.

From what I have seen on the news, it makes me proud to be British, from the way people in London have pulled together and at least tried to carry on with their everyday lives. For those who have travelled on the tubes & busses of London today, it is commendable that you are not afraid to carry on. It is that very point (to keep going, without avail) which is so prevalent in being British.

I'm not saying that doesn't happen around the world, it's just I feel it is what makes us British.

Anyway, I think I've put my feelings across sufficiently.

Right, to the DriveCast! There's some new episodes coming up over the next 2 weeks, possibly a doubleCast too!! So hang in there, I've not forgotten you guys ;)

Take care y'all,
MrPete :)
