Drivecast #008 - 16/10/05
Drivecast #8 - A Drivecast Special!
Hey everyone! Had a rather special Sunday just gone, where I got to get the creator of wonderful music & verse Ellen Brogan on the show. Also joining us was Ellen's brother John Brogan, who appeared on show #2! So, on a haystack somewhere in the Fens, on a sunny but windy day (apologies for the windnoise!), here's what happened:
- Joined by Ellen & John Brogan
~ "Peggy Gordon" (Trad.)
~ "The Minstrel Boy" (Trad.)
- John never says much...
~ "Silence" - A John Brogan special
~ "Rhythms" - Improvised rhythms from the 3 of us
- An audience!!
- A little about Ellen's musical history (Ely Cathedral)
~ "Carrick Fergus" (Trad.)
- When I met the Brogans (www.weebls-stuff.com)
- Feedback from the fans!
- Which car would I have?
- Celsius v Fahrenheit? Don't forget poor Kelvin!
~ "Cry My Tears" (Ellen Brogan)
- Any questions & comments for Ellen, email her via Drivecast@gmail.com
~ "In the light of the Moon" (Ellen Brogan, recorded at home)
As the sun started to set on a glorious afternoon, we parted ways for another time...
